Bronze Standing Draped Buddha

A finely cast standing bronze Buddha on a double lotus podium. He stands frontally, wearing a classically draped robe, thrown over the left shoulder, leaving the right shoulder and chest bare. The right hand is raised in a gesture associated with teaching, the left hand holds the edge of his robe. The facial expression is serene. Nice lustrous surface.

From Java, Indonesia, circa 15th century.
Height: 8.5 inches (21.7 cm.)
