Bronze Meditating Lopburi Buddha seated under Naga canopy

An excellent bronze casting of a classic Lopburi-style Buddha seated on a serpent podium, a seven-headed serpent (Naga) canopy behind him. The Buddha is crowned, wears a Cambodian-style sampot and has both hands resting in his lap. He has a pleasant expression. Nice dark to green patina overall. The Naga canopy can be detached. (Buddha Pamphlet #15)

From T, circa 14th century.
Height: 9.9 inches (25 cm.)
