Large Gilt Standing Thai Buddha

This large Buddha stands frontally upon a doubled lotus podium, both hands together in front of and below the waist. The modeling is done in the classic Northern Thai style with Chiensaen and Sukhothai influences. Extensive traces of gold leaf.

From the "Bangkok" era of Thailand, circa 19th century.
