Rare Round Bronze Mirror
A rare round bronze mirror with a central raised nub surrounded by stylized raised fruit and depictions of bees, with a thin band around. The main scene is paradisical – a highly artistic rendering of a seated sage, a zither player, another musician, heavenly maidens, dancers, and a featured tree in full flower and with two animals at its base, two large phoenix birds as if in attendance, insects and other birds flying. Fruit and foliate depicted here and there. An outer decorative band surrounds the scene.
