Hitching Post with Raised-arms Nommo Figure
Supposedly a "hitching post" to tie one’s horse to, this extraordinary sculpture rises from a post to a column to the bearded face with both arms together, held high over head. The carving is very detailed and masterful, done from dense dark wood, with lustrous finish and rich patina.
Height: 31 inches (78.7 cm.)
